Rinse and Soak

Drain and add to a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water and 1/2 tap turmeric powder , cook for 2-3 whisties , if using a pot put it simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, until the dal is soft and fully cooked.

Rinse 1 cup soak the dal in water for about 4-6 hours or overnight. This helps soften the dal, reducing cooking
time and improving digestibility

Let the pressure release naturally .
Drain the Excess water and add salt as required
